Giovanni Sambito

To Whom It May Concern, It is with great honor that I write this letter of recommendation for Giovanni Sambito, a high school senior varsity baseball pitcher on my Beckman High School team. Giovanni has been on my varsity roster since his sophomore year and his character off the field is as impressive as when he is giving it all on the mound. In coaching Giovanni for the past three years, I’ve been given incredible insight into his athletic abilities, his strength of character, and his natural-born leadership. Being the son of a former major league baseball pitcher, I expected to witness perhaps some natural playing ability but am continually astounded at witnessing his knowledge of the game, his integrity, sportsmanship, and all-around kindness to his fellow teammates. I routinely observe a young man who is dedicated to honing his craft on the baseball diamond. When you start probing him about his reasoning, his soft-spoken attitude reflects true intelligence. He has great upside and potential. His pitching mechanics stand out compared to most of his peers. When asked to do something, I know I can rely on Giovanni’s eagerness to participate and willingness to perform, and have it completed succinctly and correctly. He intrinsically knows that to become great at something takes personal commitment. His drive, motivation, and skill level make him a prime candidate for your college baseball program. Giovanni’s physical talent, intellect, moral character, and genuine love for the game makes him an asset to any school or baseball roster.
