Sloane Sprague

From Coach LP: Sloane is an amazing ball player and person. Sloane in the infield is an absolute menace on defense. At third base, she has a great instinct to anticipate short game and take away the other team's ability to reach with it. She has the ability to throw from a large variety of arm slots depending on the situation. Her plus arm strength allows her to get the ball out quickly when needed and also let the ball fly. She throws on the run very well and has great movement to her forehand side in particular. Sloane's defensive IQ is through the roof, always knowing the situation and making sure her teammates are on the same page. Although she usually resides at third base on our team, she has a high capacity to play a variety of both infield and outfield positions. In the outfield, she get great reads off the bat and is never afraid to lay out for a ball. Her arm strength is particularly showcased here since she can throw a frozen rope out to get someone on the base paths. Her bath is always consistent, with great barrel control and pop. She is a selfless and situational hitter with abilities to both put the ball out of the yard and execute a sacrifice bunt when called on. She makes quick adjustments at the plate and always enters the box with a plan. Sloane is a natural born leader always jumping in the front of the line for drills and being the one to rally the troops. She asks extremely intelligent questions and advocates for herself with a maturity beyond her years. Any program she is a part of will be enhanced in all aspects if Sloane is on their roster.
