Bat Exit Velocity
71
Exit velocity is measured using a radar gun and is the only direct measure of the power behind a hit. Studies have shown that for every extra one mile-per-hour added to exit velocity, the ball will travel an estimated four to six feet further, depending on its trajectory and launch angle.
Barrel Speed- Blast
54
The maximum speed of the bat’s barrel during your swing, at a point 20% from the tip of the bat. Max Barrel Speed greatly affects both the distance and speed at which the ball travels after impact. Faster barrel speed leads to more hard hit balls and a higher ball exit velocity.

60 yard Time
8.05
The 60-yard dash is a sprint covering 60 yards. It is primarily run to evaluate the speed and acceleration of Major League Baseball players.
10 yard Sprint
1.72
The 10yd sprint is a great test for determining an athletes short-distance explosiveness and burst speed. It is one of the most important speed tests, because it reveals how well prospects can get to maximum speed which translates to stealing bases, covering the gaps in the outfield and getting to the ground ball in the hole to get the out.
Broad Jump (inches)
80
Broad jumps, also known as standing long jumps, are a bounding exercise used by everyone from track and field athletes to football players trying out for the NFL. Coaches use broad jumps not only to build leg strength in their athletes but also to test leg strength and explosive power.
Outfield Throwing Velocity
The outfielder's arm strength is often compared to that of a pitcher from the mound. As with outfielders and infielders, this skill reflects the combination of throwing mechanics, arm strength, and accuracy.

Every athlete wants to have "PLUS" mechanics. It's why we hit off the Tee, throw our Bullpens and practice to be great. If our mechanics are not good or just average, it becomes more difficult to achieve our own Greatness.

"GO FOR THE 6" pushes every athlete to train hard to achieve "PLUS" mechanics. ("Plus" in the Scouting world equals the number "6"

Professional Grade Scale ranges from a eight (8) to a two (2) with 8 being Outstanding, 5 being Average, and 2 being Poor. A player's goal should be to have 6 or higher grades on their mechanics and overall game.
