Baseball Sales Representative

About The Scout Hub:​

The Scout Hub is a sports technology company geared towards helping every player, team, coach, scout, and organization better their game. Founded in 2020, we are a small startup with big dreams. We are highly organized, want to grow fast, and want to move into other sports beyond baseball. We want to revolutionize scouting and player development by infusing old-school scouting and coaching with data and technology. 

About the Job:​

We are seeking a hungry sales professional to build relationships, and close deals, with amateur baseball teams and organizations, High School and Collegiate Baseball Programs that will benefit from ​The Scout Hub’s Programs and Packages​. Get in on the ground floor and be a part of building a great company and culture!

 

About You:

You are a people person who is able to build relationships, create sales appointments, and close deals by leveraging your personal and online networks. You are passionate about the game of baseball and have ideally played, coached, or scouted at the college or professional level. You have connections with travel baseball teams and organizations, and are excited to network to create new travel baseball connections. You know the player development challenges facing today’s players, parents, and coaches and you understand the need for organizations to gain insights into their teams and players to make key decisions. You are an independent self-starter who is highly organized, coachable, persistent, and positive.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prospect to generate your own leads (networking, emailing, cold calling) and work leads generated by marketing that are assigned to you

  • Setup appointments and deliver Team and Player Package presentations to decision makers (virtually or in-person)

  • Close deals to earn new clients

  • Service and maintain quality relationships with your clients

  • Cultivate repeat business from your clients

  • Generate referrals and testimonials from your clients

  • Pass along customer suggestions on how to make our products better

  • Provide excellent customer service

  • Possible travel to annual trade shows 1-2 times per year

Must Have Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • Sales experience (B2B or B2C)

  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals

  • Understanding of the amateur baseball industry, especially high school teams and travel organizations

  • Familiarity with Google Suite products (Google Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides)

Nice to Have Qualifications/Skills/Education:

  • Social media presence on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter

  • Familiarity with sales management software and CRM

  • Experience playing baseball as a high school, college and/or pro baseball player, or has/had experience as high level coach, private instructor or scout (but not a deal breaker)


Compensation​:

100% Commission

Location & Hours:​

We are a remote company; no bricks and mortar here! You will make your own hours; we are less worried about how many hours you work and more excited to see your sales performance speak for itself.
