My father, having spent his entire adult life in the professional baseball industry, introduced the game of baseball to me at an early age. From the beginning, I loved the entirety of the game… defense, offense, baserunning, all of it. However, nothing stood out to me the way pitching did. Having the privilege to compete with every individual pitch is something I am obsessed with to this day. I consistently work year-round to be the best pitcher I can be by developing my unique pitches along with weight and agility training. Being able to compete with above average fastball and changeup metrics and support from other off-speed pitches has led me to success on the mound. Baseball has always been more than a game to me, and the intensity and teamwork that comes with it has taught me how to succeed on and off the field. I am competitive, hardworking, and committed to competing at the collegiate level.

Giovanni has been on my varsity roster since his sophomore year and his character off the field is as impressive as when he is giving it all on the mound. In coaching Giovanni for the past three years, I’ve been given incredible insight into his athletic abilities, his strength of character, and his natural-born leadership. Being the son of a former major league baseball pitcher, I expected to witness perhaps some natural playing ability but am continually astounded at witnessing his knowledge of the game, his integrity, sportsmanship, and all-around kindness to his fellow teammates. I routinely observe a young man who is dedicated to honing his craft on the baseball diamond. When you start probing him about his reasoning, his soft-spoken attitude reflects true intelligence. He has great upside and potential. His pitching mechanics stand out compared to most of his peers. When asked to do something, I know I can rely on Giovanni’s eagerness to participate and willingness to perform, and have it completed succinctly and correctly. He intrinsically knows that to become great at something takes personal commitment. His drive, motivation, and skill level make him a prime candidate for your college baseball program. Giovanni’s physical talent, intellect, moral character, and genuine love for the game makes him an asset to any school or baseball roster.
